Folks:

Got a 50lb WX-50120 Speed Queen with a bad spin winding on the CVE132H/2 220V 1PH Elmo Motor. The motor is about $1,400 to replace. Pleases want approx $1,000 to rewind it.

Question: Is there a more affordable motor which is easily substitutable with this one? This one has the old school centrifugal switch and so I was wondering if there was a motor I could reconfigure the capacitors on the high voltage side to power this machine.

Thanks in advance!
Ned

Nope.

The new motor replacement will have a sealed cent switch but no substitutes are available at this time.
