Have fun with your new 'Tags! You've tested the OOB shut-off by pulling the tub forward? You may be able to adjust & clean the OOB spring and lever by unplugging the machine, lifting the top and inspecting it. I would highly recommend a copy of the Maytag Washer (and dryer) Repair-Master book, easy to understand and very helpful in getting familiar with your machine(s).

It's easy to adjust a Maytag lid switch.UNPLUG the washer, take the 2 screws off the cover on the console, and you will see the lid switch under the timer. With a long 1/4' nut driver,or socket, loosen the 2 screws, and the switch will move in or out, whichever way you need it.Lift the lid up and down, you should hear a click from the switch when it makes contact inside.Adjust as necessary. kennyGF |
