It's a bit older than that! Note the lighted control panel and the foot pedal door opener on the one I posted. Here's a shot at the controls. 

 

A few years ago, a co-worker sent a defective Speed Queen solid tub washer to a friend of mine who's a scrapper. The washer was from the same period but it lacked the console light. It was paired with a non-matching but same vintage Simplicity dryer. I still regret not getting both...

wow. until you pointed out the foot pedal, I didn't see it.

The old sq's are nice as much as I like newer SQ's.

unusual tub with a "lip" surrounding the agitator - so is that a patented feature on Speed Queens? I like the stainless tub - this one is painted, it appears. thanks for posting.
