Has anyone seen the 40" cooktop based on this design? It had the surface units clustered at the left and on the right was a big grill or griddle. There was a big 4 pass element like a broiler. The griddle sat on it and the grill sat over it. Water was placed in the pan below the element while grilling to stop drippings from smoking. The controls were mounted just the way they are on this range on top of the ledge.

I Have..

I looked at a house one time that had one, I like the overall design of these, they also made a slide in range like this.

Since the only color on this range is the oven door, it could safely be repainted and you would not have to worry about it withstanding the intense heat and cleaning of the cooktop.

I also like..

The earlier models with the two 8 inch units on opposite sides and the 6 inch back to back in the middle.

He might not have used this much, but those surface units look T-I-R-E-D. Maybe his pans don't have flat bases.
