Washing machine and spin dryer. This kind of reminds me of a patent of the day pic. One of the pictures shows the tub tilting sideways to the spin dry cycle position. Very cool and mint looking machine.

That was the only washer built by a gun manufacturer-Savage Arms-they still are with us-they build fine rifles and shotguns.

I saw that one. Very interesting design, I was wondering when someone here would post a link to it. Would be interesting to see that one in action. I'll bet that the agitation phase includes the inner tub rolling around the circumference of the outer tub as it rotated.

Really, horizontal washing and vertical agitation is a good combination. The question is how to do it reliably without excessive complication of the mechanism.

The seller has it wrong: the tub tilts up horizontally to wash like a tumble action washer. Then you seat the tub down in the machine vertically, redistribute the load, and spin it out like a toploader.
