I think if they run good, you should be able to fix those issues, Dynaflow has one and uses it daily, and boy does it wash!!!It will hold a ton of clothes and roll them over!! the dryers are terrific , or so everyone I ever knew who had one said. |

. . . in Florida who bought two of the washers. They are workhorses. Wash large loads beautifully. I don't know about repairing the agitator, but I would imagine replacements are available. Jerry Gay |

I believe it's hard to find the agitator unless you find a junked donor machine. BUT---plenty of folks just sand smooth the broken edge and wash for years!!!
I found a lint filter on Ebay, just keep searching and eventually one will show up, or check some online parts stores. Of course you can wash without it. The washers are FANTASTIC machines, loud but turn over everything and great rinsing and loud and tons of action. Even with high sudsing detergents, all the suds get out in those incredible circle spray rinses. The dryers sometimes get a bad reputation, but my 1978 runs perfectly. The rollers are the weak point, but are still available online. I also have had luck taking the roller off the spindle, cleaning the spindle and the inner hole of the rubber, oiling lightly, re-assembling, and then it's quiet again for a few months. The up-down action of a 1-18 is something for ALL washer collectors to experiance at some point, just plain fun as hell and effective. |
