How to find out the date of manufature of your appliance? Umm... I guess each manufacturer uses different criteria.
I know how to assign the date on a modern Hoover... this is achieved by looking at the middle section of the long serial number. For example, my Hoover Nextra 4 digit middle section of the serial reads 0418: the first 2 numbers refer to the year, so, 2004, while the last 2 numbers indicate the 18th week of that year, thus, it would've been put together in April 2004. Try to find a 4 digit code within the serial... or search online... as I did. Good luck ;-) | ||
