Good Evening to every in AutomaticWasher.com
Prior to my question, I just have to say the washer/dryer collections on this site are absolutely fantastic. What a tribute to the quality way appliances were manufactured before consumers sold out to the throw away society in which we now live. Washers and Dryers used to be beautiful - chrome, lights, heavy gauge metal, quiet construction, simple function, and built to last. Now they are garbage. Now my question. I have to replace my Frigidaire front load washer. The mother board has failed again. This is my second set in 12 years - and I am not a heavy user. Unfortunately, I do not have a laundry room as I live in a condominium, and my washer and dryer must be stacked in a "laundry closet". Due to depth constraints, I am limited to an install depth of no more than 31 inches total. I am thinking I want to go back to a top load washer with no computer controls and have decided upon the 27 inch GE unitized unit with the stainless steel tub. Does anyone in the forum know anything about this unit? Can the preset factory water level be overridden? I appreciate any input from the forum before I shell out $1400.00 for a new machine. Thank you and a great evening to all, Richard |
