Okay, 5.6 cubic feet, but it takes 2.5 HOURS to do a load... Not to mention it's 30 inches wide? How will it fit through a door?

I would like to know exactly what the "Niagra Wash" cycle does though...

Is this the machine that is paired with the 9 cu ft dryer?

Well here's what I would tell Samsung to do with their

"niagra falls" washer.

Take it to Niagra Falls and do what many people have attempted to do in a barrel.

2.5 hours to wash a load? Are they being serious?

Warranty:
One (1) Year Parts and Labor
Two (2) Years Control Board<<<<Three (3) Years Stainless Steel Drum<<<<Ten (10) Years Direct Drive Motor<<
One of the cycles calls itself "water proof". Given the lack of sufficient water these things use, that might very well be an appropriate name!

Ah, they are being released!

Well, I think the 2:30 on the display is a bad photoshop work. I just read on a spec sheet that the Normal cycle is 60 minutes.

That Niagara Wash probably either turns on the AquaJet by default or uses a higher fill - like Power Cleanse or Deep Wash cycles.

The dryers that go with these 5.6 cu.ft. front and top loaders are 9.5 cu.ft. Massive. The Speed Queen double-stack dryers at out local laundromat are 10 cu.ft.

9 cu. ft. dryer...o.m.g. you could just about climb inside that thing and go for a tumble yourself. lol

This isn't another "Spin-splode" washer?

Samsung

I love new technology, however, these things get bigger every year! Where do you draw the line??

One four the team

Someone is going to have to get a set of these and evaluate their performance.

I know the wash tub is not as deep and somewhat wider. That means a bigger impeller.

I want to embrace new technology, when it is a success.

I would like to see the drum, too.  "Wider and extra shallow" could mean many different things in advertising parlance.

You're right about getting that through the door, I hope the salespeople are trained to counsel buyers to "measure before delivery."  32" deep and 30" wide - that's a big footprint.

The drum is raised by four inches and seems to be two or three inches wider. Normal wash is 54 minutes.

well the bigger footprint is sort of put around for a larger family, and with that for the most part would include a larger home!

but seriously, who needs machines THAT big!

and about time that the dryers size has met the washers capacity!

I have been walking around Sears, Lowes, and HomeDepot.....and with all these machines, waranties covering longer terms for, the stainless tub, the drive motor, transmissions, etc..........

but nothing more than 1 year on the two major causes of failure, bearrings/seals, and the electronics!....unless you buy an extended!....even then, they wont repair it, they offer a refund!...and that can be a good/bad situation!

Measure the access to your laundry facilities. Let's see how many people could actually install a set of this girth...

Samsung

Buying a Samsung washing machine, was the worst thing I ever did.

It broke after seven months, I eventually got my money refunded in full from Samsung directly.

38 inches, baby. Of course, I'm on the wrong side of the pond.

See it as a trade off, Alexander: You get to have access to decent laundry equipment like V-Zug and the full Miele line-up. We, for the most part, get the third world junk.

True (although the reviews for the newest Miele range aren't as positive as one would hope).

Water-proof cycle is for garments such as rain coats, slickers, fireman's water-proof outer wear worn at fire scenes to keep them as dry as possible.

it's also for those types of laundry that caused the infamous explosions during the spin cycle on previous LG top loaders.

I bought one a month or two ago. I had to take the door off of the laundry room to get it in. Took all of about a minute and a half to accomplish. No big deal.

My wife loves the thing. It's huge. Whole house of laundry done in a little more than an hour, once a week.

Tonight we watched a TV show while the thing did my son's Cal-king, thick comforter. We actually had enough room to do ours at the same time if we had wanted.

It's quiet, works great, and no issues. What would y'all like to know about it?

I have to admit

they are fu**ing beautiful but.... Are they good? How long would they last (the best question could be how "short" would they last?)

How many drops of water it uses on the maximum level?

Pretty as usual for Samsung but still not impressed with wash action.

They are indeed gorgeous. I suppose Samsung has figured out that you really CAN polish a turd. But I'm sure their reputation for short-lived machines would have the hinge pins in my utility room door worn out.
