Hi Everyone,

I am new to this site and have a question about a Neptune MAH5500BWW. When I start a wash the main water inlet starts to fill the washer but the bleach and softner siphon cups also fill. So if you put bleach and softner in the comparments they all get dumped into the wash at the same time. I did a quick service cycle and there were no errors. Does anyone know what the issue could be? I was thinking it could be the inlet valves that fill the siphon cups. I attached a picture of the style of valves the washer has. Thanks

Do you have a multimeter?

If so, you could check if the PCB sends voltage to the wrong valves during the main fill. If so, the PCB might be faulty. Further, I suppose during the final rinse with softner the bleach dispenser should not be flushed. So you could check if this happens further. Would be a nother sign of a faulty PCB or part of it...

Everytime the washer needs to fill(main wash and rinses 1-3) both siphon cups fill. When I put it in service mode and test the valves, I hear them turn on and off. If the PCB is bad would there be other symptoms? Other then the siphon cup issue the washer seems to work perfect.

Garrett-

You could try contacting one of the members here who has several neptunes in his collection. His name is Martin and his screen name is Yogitunes. If you go to his profile page you can get his e-mail address.

I'm sure he could give you some guidance with your machine.

Hopefully your problem won't be a major issue to correct.

Rick

Valve testing--

jeff_adelphi's profile picture
With the valve installed, try unplugging 1 wire from each solenoid, then run the washer. If water still comes thru the valve, it's not closing and needs to be replaced. If no water comes thru, the valve is working, but the control board is sending power to the valve at the wrong time.

I unplugged the valves power and water was still running through them. I tested the machine with another valave from one of my other Neptunes and it it worked fine. So its a bad valve. A new one is on order.
Thanks everyone for your help!
