That washer is another one of those workhorses from that time period. My grandmother bought one of those new back in the day and when she passed it made it's way past my brother and I for a bit.

It's a BD machine with 2 speeds, infinite water level, 5 cycles, DA agitator, and five temp options or use auto. temp. (which used preset temps according to how the cycle control was set)

That dryer drum has definitely seen some use for it to be in that condition.

Is there a power outage in MN that we don't know about?

The washer is a 1983 model 80 series - these were available until fall 1986. I considered one briefly before I bought my 70 series in July 1986, but the 80 wasn't on sale at the time.

This was a very popular washer, one of three models that sold exceptionally well in the 1983 line. There was a clone model to this machine but one notch up as it offered the two-coat white porcelain basket. These are rarely seen --- hard to say why as they were only $10 more. I guess buyers didn't care about the basket, as $10 was a lot more money in the mid 80s.

The dryer is a most likey a 1978 70 series. That drum looks about as well used as my 1978 60 series dryer's drum.
