Tom found and linked me to this auction site this morning so I'm posting it here, hopefully there's some interest in the area.  What a beautiful range!!

Thats a Norge Futura

With the vertical broiler on the left that broils both sides of whatever at once.

Just wondering

somewhere in the aw.org pages, someone talked about norge stoves...were these(and not this specific model, because who would know...?) a stove that were known for not maintaining even temperatures? Or maybe I should have a second cup of coffee and look at the refrigerator threads.

Anyways - imagine in 1955...Futura was a good marketing name, but that vertical broiler sounded unique for the times. I would like to see this for the color pink, as it looks like more of a salmon tinted pink, not a shell pink. ? Is that a vent on the left side?

Nice stove-slightly closer view.

I wonder how well a vertical broiler handled hamburgers.

Re Norge Oven!

No, They bake better than any I have ever used, they were known for the oven liner to crack and rust though, but as far as baking performance, I have never seen better.

Futura Broiler..

You broiled with the door closed, hence the vents at the bottom of the door and on the backsplash, A broiler is something I never use because of the mess and grease!
