Was originally a US company that made dryers. In fact all of Alliance's large commercial dryers are a Huebsch product.
For years you would see dryers in Laundromats and commercial settings called "Huebsch Originators". This was shortened to Huebsch when Alliance took things over IIRC and Huebsch was already building dryers for SQ and Unimac while they were Raytheon brands. IIRC the reason only the Huebsch name is available in Canada is a licensing issue with Whirlpool to use the SQ brandmark up there. However they can sell the machines under both names in the US. I am 90% sure this is the story behind it. If I missed something or got something wrong I'm sure someone here will correct me. As far as why the Huebsch name here. I would guess it comes down to which name the local distributor carries and or is promoting. Enjoy our 1st warm day here in MN. WE HAVE CERTAINLY EARNED IT! WK78 |

My Speed Queen (raytheon) have a dark porcelanized tub like that, even though agitator cap and basket ring are different...
