Hello,I have a Kenmore Elite automatic washer that was bought in 2007. Model 110.28042700 and serial # cu4670198. When on spin cycle there is noise that sounds like a worn out bearing. Where I buy my appliance parts I was told they have a factory bearing kit to repair the washer. Would anyone here have knowledge as to what the dis- assembly and assembly procedure would be to install the new bearing in the washer? Thank you Bill,

Question about the washers warranteed parts

Thank you ( The fixer ) for the reply. I did a little research On this myself and found on Youtube a couple of videos showing how to do this repair. Also looking in my owners instruction booklet I got with the washer it stated that the stainless steel basket and the outer plastic tub were warranteed for ten years replacement from date of purchase no charge for either of those two parts but a charge only for the labor to replace it. At the time when I bought my machine there was no bearing kit offered to make this repair as the outer tub and bearing assembly were sold as a unit only. I would like to know if anyone else experianced this problem what sears did to remedy the problem ? Replaced the whole tub unit as stated in owners booklet at no charge for the part or installed a bearing kit and charged for parts and labor? Thank You Bill,
