That's a beautiful fridge for the money.  D-7-41 indicates 1941.  The fridge my parents bought new when they were married in 1949 was a D-9-49.  I think the digit after the D indicates cubic feet of the cabinet interior.

 

I had a model H-3-39 IIRC, and that machine ran quietly for 69 years before it went dead and I couldn't diagnose the problem (but I suspected a loose wire or a problem with the start system for the compressor).   It lived on the covered patio for most of the 35 or so years I had it, unfazed by the occasional triple digit summer day.
