Hi guys. I couldn't resist an ebay bargain. Bought this for £10.00. Had a bit of a drive to get it as it was in the middle of no where
Down bumpy roads and the sat nav keep loosing the signal. I had to replace the rubber pipe with a modern one as it was a bit perished. Done some test runs and no leaks and apart from a bit noisy it runs great Was wondering if anyone knew the spin speed and also the year it was mad. Just took some pics Inc the plate Hope u enjoy the pics Robbie |

August 1989 They were sold along with the Hoovermatics and single tub washers until 1993. I thought the spin speed was 2100, or is that just the hoovermatics? Matt |

Thanks John
That info is much appreciated. I thought it was later than 1979 as the outter tub to catch the water is made from plastic and I had an earlier on many years ago that didn't have an outter tub. The water would just hit the shell of the machine and drain down to the pump. I've had lots of splashy fun this morning lol. Just wish I wasn't on a water meter as I would prob use it more as it works really well. |

Glad you like this Rob these are great machines easy and fun to use, my mates mum used to wash in it, leave the clothes to soak in powder and then rinse them out..........see many uses.
And if deepthro.... I mean deeprinser jon recommends them you wont get a better endorsement than from him he knows his hoover twinnys |

Cheers Gary
It's been great so far. Every appliance I own is brand new except for this so it's nice to own. It was in storage for 20 years and was surprised how well it worked with nothing except the pipe needing replacement. I just wish I wasn't on a water meter as I would of gone back for the matching washer but according to my water bill I'm using twice the amount of water that the average single person uses .... Dam that extra rinse button on the washer lol... |

Hi mike
I could e mail the lady and see if she still has it as I doubt it would be gone as it wasn't listed. Both machines had been in storage for twenty years. The woman and her daughter were Lovely. We were chatting away like we had known each other for years lol. I didn't realise it was the last of the hoover singles. I'm more old hotpoint than hoover... And admitting to being a bit of a Beko fan now (ducks head quickly lol) Will let you know what she says if you would like me to ask her Robbie |

The Hoover Twosome (as it appears you are going to end up with) need not be a water hog as you can re-use the wash water for several loads and even after that it can still be used for washing the car, cleaning the patio, that sort of thing. If you have the means you can also save an re-use the rinse water too, I have a hose that i can attach to my pressure washer which allows you to use saved water, although I will admit the pressure is not so good.
When using the washer make sure you dont overload the tub - 6lb is rated capacity but better to stick to between 4 and 5lb - its so quick it hardly makes any difference and load the clothes around the end of the tub when the motor is NOT running - both will help with tangling. Unfortunately the rinse from the spinarinse will not be as good as with the Beko Happy washing Al |

Hi Mathew
I'm just waiting on an e mail back. The spina has been excellent so far. It's been used 3 times today so far. Water everywhere in the kitchen lol. The kitchen sink can't cope with the amount the machine pumps out so it's fingers on the stop button when I've been rinsing. I've had it apart and give it a good clean in the bits that's hard to get to. Just need to get some enamel paint to touch up were the is the odd rust spot |
