I think the term "chime" is used loosely here. I don't know if Maytag changed the end of cycle signal with the 700 series, but on my DG806 it was just a single "ding" like a kitchen timer bell. If you weren't within close range, you'd never hear it. I'm betting the buzzer is easier to hear from a distance. |
