That appears to be a non-shaded avocado A806 washer and DE808 dryer.  1977-1980.  If you care for green…..

As Kermit would say...

It's not easy being green...

I would bet there are quite a few here who would take middle gen 806's in ANY color! LOL! SOH dryer and no timed bleach but still really cool and deserving of a loving laundry room. Or a basement showroom and you know who you are!

and i have a question for you maytaggers that are very educated on the A806 models.
was that kind of bleach dispenser ever put on an A806?? or do you think that there has been a cabinet changeover done here???

i'm curious to find out what you guys know about this kind of bleach dispenser on this maytag A806???

thanks....

:o)

That style is the "non-timed" bleach dispenser Andrew was talking about. When Maytag stopped offering the timed dispsnser on the A806, they started to install bleach funnels on most models and these were relocated from the right side to the left side.

thanks philr.....

for confirming that the cabinet probably wasn't switched because it didn't have the timed bleach dispenser.

i have emailed the seller and we'll see what happens on this set? rancho mirage isn't that far of a drive for me. a little under 6 hours one way.

so, we'll find out if someone has already gotten them? or if they are still available???

see what happens......

;o)

When did late 1970's become mid-century?

When did late 1970's become mid-century?

I think at the same time all CRT tv's became antique and all records became 78's!

Excited they are for real

Hi:

Yes, the ad was for real. I have purchased them. I guess he hasn't had time to remove the ad.
I've been forever wanting a pair and finally came true:)

I was a member several years ago and went to one of the wash ins several years ago in Nebraska.

Recently moved to Los Angeles from Chicago.

Several years ago I was about to bud on the 67/68 models in beautiful turquoise on Ebay
Which had never been used in Ohio. They were snapped up thankfully by another member in the club.

Oh well! This has been a very difficult move out west, so hopefully this is the beginning if good things!

I hope things work that way - aw.org has a lot of good will (aka "karma") so good luck with the new set and hope they bring other good things, as well!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

floyde.

i'm glad these are going to a fellow member on here. i was just going to give an update since i heard from the seller/owner and they told me that someone (which is you) offered them $500 for the set. that's too much for me to offer. especially since i only really was interested in the washer & i really didn't want the dryer. it's good to know that the set will be staying together.

again, CONGRATULATIONS on your purchase floyde!! it's good to know that they will definitely be appreciated & cared for!!!

keep us posted when you get them and how they work for you!!!
and remember, pictures too!!!

;o)

It's between both at 25.5"

The dryer is wider at 28.5".

Nice that a member purchased these and will appreciate them. Nice too that the seller was conscientious enough to remove the listing.
