I'm still looking for the mounting knobs/brackets/buttons? that are adhered to the inside of the door of the WP's with the AnyWare silverware basket. From every machine I've looked at, these have to be just fused or adhered to the inside of the door, as any video of disassembly or any picture of the actual door panel has nothing protruding through to the other side. My problem is that I can't find even a hint at getting the replacements from any online source, nor can I find what they're technically called. I'd like to find them so that they can be installed in my Whirltag (where the door, dispensers, vent, etc. are exactly identical, minus the mounting brackets) and I can use the WP basket I have under the sink properly. If anyone has a clue where I can find them, I'd be appreciative.

I thought so too, but upon researching all the repair videos and everything, there's nothing that actually goes through the door, so it has to be just somehow welded on to the door. When going to stores to look, it even looks like its just glued really. I'd just rather not have to buy an entire new inner door panel just for a couple of little brackets that can't cost more than a few dollars.

You are, but I've always loved it being built onto the door. My aunt's beast of a PowerClean spoiled me. That will be my last resort method if I truly can't find them. What's weird is that this dishwasher has the exact lower rack that the WP's with the door mounted basket do. It's not extended to take up the space of the door's indention like the deluxe racks in the Whirltags and Kenpools are. I went to an appliance store today and the man had absolutely no idea what I was talking about, even with the pictures I showed him, which is beyond me. He told me to bring a model/serial, so I guess I'll just google one lol

I'm guessing that these just aren't meant to be had separately. For example, the Wheel & Mount Assembly for the upper rack on Bosch dishwashers is not available as a spare part. If you break it, the dishwasher is junk. WP, on the other hand, sells this item as a spare part.
I wonder, if you could use some small stainless steel hooks that you can use to hang up towels, glue them to the door with heavy duty glue and attach the basket like so. Or maybe find a trashed WP and take the hooks from there? Here's a rough idea of what I was thinking about. |
