Ad copy says "Color is white."

Really?  And when, pray tell did Maytag ever offer shaded white?

I'm left wondering if the beautiful machines pictured are the actual ones that are for sale.

and it looks like the washer has 3 buttons on the speed selection, to the right of the control knob???

but that's a pretty cool looking 1960 chevrolet impala in the background!!

I can't place the car, but it did occur to me that pictures of machines with classic cars in the background have been posted by members here in the past.

Brian, it sounds like you're saying the picture was lifted and the seller was too lazy to take a shot of the real machines that are up for sale -- if the ad is even legit.

Possibly, but now that I think about it I believe it might have been a different car and a member we know would not do such a thing.

The washers (and the car) belong to a member here - drh4683 (Doug). I'm guessing that someone is more than likely using his photo considering they indicate the set they have for sale is white.

Hopefully it's all legit.

Ben

Did they at least get the model numbers right with the corresponding picture?

You nailed that down, Ben. In the back of my mind I was thinking about Chicago, but couldn't remember exactly.
