1960, my foot.
That's a 1948 RK-60, with what appears to be the original thin interwound elements. The switch to the fat Radiantubes that we're all familiar with took place for '49. This is a single-oven range, one model off the TOL. Very solid range. As I've said here before, we had the TOL double-oven model, the RK-70, when I was growing up. It has been so long since I was around one of these I couldn't vouch for baking and cooking performance, but the build quality was phenomenal. |
