I finally after several years have my first vintage set.

I purchased the 1978 set of Maytag's posted in the Shopper's forum last month fro Rancho Mirage, CA.

Fellow member Kevin who lives in Long Beach area offered to pick them up and deliver them

Thanks again Kevin! The washer has been installed and is in great condition.

The dryer is electric so I'm waiting to have service changed over.

Both units have very little use and are in great shape.

A little dusty, but for 36 years old pretty amazing.

I've washed several loads and love the way this machine performs.

With a little help from my partner I even got the lighted console working.

This is a great sure and I will never use anything but a vintage machine!

Yeah, another convert for vintage laundry equipment! Hope you'll enjoy many more years of service from those dependable Maytags!

Congratulations on your first vintage set. About the only thing better than a pair of 1978 Maytag's would be a pair from 1973. LOL

I hope you'll be able to enjoy them for many years to come.

Congratulations!

You can't do better than an 806 pair.   The 906 may be TOL, but the 806 washer gives users more control in customizing cycles to their liking and still retains the classic center dial look.
