this one, a Speed Queen dealer, in Princeton, Illinois. I imagine it was fun selling wringer washers in those days, due to the fact that not everybody had one yet, and it would have been a big investment for the average person/family. Imagine the excitement of a housewife transitioning from a washboard and tub to a new wringer washer!

Brad, thanks for posting that picture. I live 23 miles from Princeton and that building is still around. There was a green SQ in the garage here when I moved in and was thrown out before I moved in in 1980. Darn, I wish I had that. Gary |

Picture of my father from 1946. This was our family business, Acme Electronic, in Springfield, Mass. My father started fixing radios in 1938. We stayed in business for 65 years. The store is now a barber shop.
