O.K. New member here...
Leaving loved Miele W1203 washer and T1403 in Palm Desert condo..once you've built them in under a counter and spent the money to get wiring to them, hard to take them and leave a hole others can't fill with anything but the same.
As been talked about in other messages, yes, also left behind a much more controllable Miele 1918 w/ matching dryer in older home. They were 10 years old at that point and I miss them!!!
But what to get now? I love being able to raise the temp so high, I like the high spin speed; I collect table linen and love the job the Miele's do. Of course I use my Miele rotary iron weekly. Yes, I've re-wired for that a time or two, aslo.
But there are so many choices... Once a Miele, always a Miele? Looked at Asko, not interested. Same with Bosch. Had a Duet pair originally in desert, like washer, hated dryer. So brought the Seattle older Miele's down. Now they're are in the past house.
Are Miele's "OVERKILL?" There's just 2 of us, but do lots of sheets and tablesclothes. Don't like the current dryer as it doesn't rotate opposite directions evenly. Too many sheet sets balled-up...Complained to Miele about that!

So what to get? I'd really like suggestions...have about 2 months to make up my mind. P.S. I do love Persil detergent, too!
Luxflairguy aka well,,,most people call me Greg or Gregger!

As you say, once a Miele, always a Miele. Absolutely love mine to bits, beats any other washer I have used to date!!!

I would suggest another Miele pair, if you don't like the Asko. My mum and dad own a Bosch, and whilst the Bosch is a nice machine, the Miele beats it by miles :-).

I *think* there's a programmable function on Miele dryers that makes them reverse more frequently - you tried setting that? :-)

Take care, and welcome!! Do you have any pics of your babies?

Jon

Life is short; if you loved your Miele, go for another pair! I've never used one (I have a Frigidaire FL'er), but the folks here who have Miele's rave about them and are very brand-loyal.

Just Curious: What didn't you like about the Duet dryer?
