True. But yours are hot water connected? I mean, most of the times. Not an expert, but is central heated water more or less efficent? |

If you like the dishwasher, why not add some sound insulation to it? Our old Electrolux washer has an open base (no anti-leak feature) and a brushed motor, so it was rather loud during the spin cycle. I simply put a folded towel underneat the washer and it became noticably quieter. Try a DIY store and ask for sound insulaion material. Looking at a parts list of a DuraWash, I see that there is almost no insulation at all.
