Hi all,
Having a clear out at my parents farm they told me to scrap a few old washing machines including this old hotpoint set (photo attached). I don't know a huge amount about old washing machines but I thought it might be the kind of thing that someone / somewhere might collect or do something with. Pretty sure it doesn't work but it's in clean condition.

Basically I'm looking for some advice.. Should I scrap it or is it an item that someone might be interested in ?

Thanks

Scrap it?

No certainly not. Now, just at the moment, there are a couple of these on ebay and are not selling but they are on for really silly money. If you do not get a direct response on here, put it on ebay (maybe on a "free listing" weekend) at a low price and you might end up pleasantly surprised.

And please post pictures of the other machines here too please, what you might consider junk could well be something that we have long been searching for.

Thanks and good luck

Al

I'm sure someone would be interested in getting that machine. It's always good to save an older machine when possible. They certainly don't make them like that anymore. To a collector that would be a beauty to restore.

What about the other "old washing machines"??   Any information / photos on those??

Someone may be interested on those too!

Yes, please don't scrap it! As suggested, auction it on Ebay with a low starting price and state "buyer collects" so you don't get somebody asking you to deliver it to Aberdeen!
