Hi, our Sears toploader has this feature. All it really is is the revival of the multiple spray rinses that was used in the belt driven machines.

Earlier direct drive machines if I remember correctly had only one spray between wash and rinse. These machines have two spin spray rinses and each side of the deep rinse. The belt drive machines used 4 on each side, but I think these sprays are slightly longer than the belt drive's.

Scott, my 86 LK only has a spray rinse between wash & rinse on PP. Other cycles, no spray rinse after the wah. All have a single spray rinse after the deep rinse.

Oh Ok Bob, I remembered that there was only one spray, just not where it took place!

after the deep rinse, that single spray rinse as the tub starts to spin is to try to remove the crud laying on top of the clothes from the neutral drain. :-)

spin rinsing

My old Kenmore 90 series(I called it a Lady)DD didn't spin rinse enough to suit me. So I grabbed the hose out of the washtub and made MY own spin rinse!
I'm glad they added the extra rinses

Spin-Spray frequency has varied over the years, I've seen them with sprays after the wash and rinse, some with spray only after the rinse and some with two sprays after the rinse. I'm glad they are offering models that have this feature, flushing out some of the muck before the deep rinse has to help.

Yes,my current KM has the 4 rinses.2 in each spin at 15 seconds apiece. It rinses better than the earlier DD Whirlpool prior to this machine and that machine had only had one spray per spin.

Richie, my 86 LK DD starst spinning for about 2-4 seconds b4 the spray rinse starts. It aws a part of that specific timer design. leslie has told me if the timer were to need replacing, the new timer wiould have the water start coming in as it starts spinning.
