DeepFreeze

Was the maker of the first home freezer...thus all freezers since have been referred to as deep freezers! They made a full line of appliances in the 40s and 50s.

Deepfreeze later was acquired by Amana, which of course was many years later bought by Maytag. Since Maytag was then purchased by Whirlpool, they likely own the trademark rights today.

I know that Amana made the freezers sold under the Maytag name. Amana was owned by Ratheon. Caloric bought Amana or Ratheon. John told me that my Amana range with the microthermal oven is based on the old Philco electric range design which somehow migrated to Caloric, but I do not remember the details.
