and of course the dryer power cord is laying on top of the machine. I suppose the bleach bottle is hiding the fact that there is no timer in the console too, LOL!

Someone took the dryer apart and couldn't re-assemble it? Duct Tape to the rescue

....Disassembled the dryer, they probably broke, lost or mislaid one of the little clips that holds the top of the panel in place.

And God forbid that most DIY-ers should actually research, locate, purchase and install a factory part when there's duct tape around.

IIRC, that model has a steel piece across the front of the top, that locks into the front of the dryer.
