This older Maytag motor arrived today(part number 201807), but it didn't handle the trip very well. The upper end cap was dealt a pretty severe blow that left it badly dented. The question I have is can this part be replaced, or should I say, does anyone have this part laying about that's willing to part with it? It's kind of a neat old motor. I'd hate to have to just chuck it. One of the nicer features is the bearings are surrounded by wicking materiel full of oil. Call me crazy, but I always like those sorts of details. So what do you think? Is it worth the effort to track down a new end cap, or should I just look for another old motor. FYI - this one was purchased to keep as a spare.

Unfortunately, the motor I picked it up to replace one day is a newer type, so none of the parts will be applicable. That's why I thought I'd ask if anyone had a dead motor of the same type that could sell me a new end cap. I may try straightening the damaged one back out, but since it's made of cast aluminum I don't expect that to succeed.
