Once again, this is just another example of companies appealing to the ignorance of the majority, rather than working to build a better quality machine. The days of encouraging and empowering people to make their own choices and actually learn how things work and how they should be done properly are over, sadly. Things like this just influence the lazy and ignorant to be even more lazy and ignorant, and hurt people like us who want and deserve to be in control of the products we pay for.
Like henene4 said above, I love new technology, but this is to the extreme. If something works well as it is, why change it/water it down by going overboard with altering the things that don't need improvement, and ignoring the things that do? Our government and healthcare establishments use software that is outdated over 10 years, and yet we're letting the "cloud" decide how to wash our clothes and dishes? Okay. |
