Say Hello to my *NOT* so little friend!

my Miele w 4842-brand new in box, was delivered 9 days ago. DH and son hooked her up tonight! I am excited to be sharing these photos with you!! I researched/mooned for months, and then found out that there were still bigger Miele's available for purchase. I was torn between the w4802 and the w4842, but decided to go with the w4842 as I wanted the delay wash option. DH was super impressed with the shipping bolts!(He and my son were downstairs using them as lightsabers!)She comes with a 5 year warranty. I will be doing my first load of warsh thru her once the sanitary cycle is complete in about an hour and a half! *happy dance!* it has a light!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!*clapping hands*

Thank you Mike !

Being that I am a Gypsi,

when I was down in South Philly..

my friends friend had a small 24 inch

Simple 3 cycle DD with 2 water levels 2 speeds.

For a month of there kindness and headaches the one guy has no washing skills none whatsoever and rambles that he does lol.

Well to past time and have fun with the DD I set out to prove that his white yellowed T- shirts can be much whiter

then then they where.

He said he tried to but it want come out.

Resson why the heater is way low in the house and he washes in...everybody,,

IN COLD WATER !

And washes on the 6 min time cycle.

Which the temp is on the dial.

Not GooD.

So I told him Ill have a go at them.

I turn the heater up ...

I prewashed them...

Draned..

I soaked them ..

Then procecded In a long Hot wash...

beached them...

white vineager...thanks toggles.

then 2 rinses ... Sorry John Lafever they needed it.

Washman.. he has a Speed Queen dryer.

Yes all alone in a strange house but the people here stayed with me in spirit.

I couldn't log on yesterday but yesterday I used the Indesit IWE7145 I have plumbed in my parents garage as there AEG has broken (I'm staying with them for two months and tempted to grab my maytag or dyson out of storage!)

It worked hard yesterday.

2 coloured loads one on synthetic 40 with ecotime using bold gel & lenor spring awakening

One on cotton 40 with 1400rpm spin using ariel with Febreze liquid and lenor with Febreze

Bath mats on cotton 60 with intensive wash (uses greater quantity of water) with 1400rpm spin using Ariel bio powder and lenor with Febreze

Towels on cotton 60 with ariel bio powder and lenor spring awakening

Today I've got some coloureds in on flash clean 40 deg with bold gel & lenor with 1200rpm spin

Hey wrungout,

Your Miele is almost identical to my TouchTronoc. It too has the interior light but only comes on at the beginning and end of each cycle but not during any of it's many different programs. It was sold in Canada then the, owners moved here. About four years ago,I found it at a local used appliance dealer. I'm now sorry I didn't take the matching dryer that was there too. It was an electric model but,at that time, I had no access to 220V. The house only had half the power.
