I'd not seen these mentioned anywhere, and it had completely passed me by until I saw an email from AO.com for a competition entry to win one.

It looks like these may be the Zanussi branded machines using the base of the AEG protex machines, the dryers drums look similar and the cabinets also look close in design.

The front panels are different to either the AEG or Electrolux ones though, and seem to have been inspired by the previous Indesit range in part. No dials either, or at least I've not seen one that has dials yet, just touch controls in a similar layout to the older Jetsystem XC machines.

They look a bit different, and I don't know if they're not on full general release yet as it seems that only the DRL owned companies are selling them in the UK so far (i.e. AO.com and the kitchen appliances shops for Boots, Sainsburys, M&S, B&Q, etc.)

Anyone seen one of them in the wild yet?

D

Hmm, having looked around a bit further, it seems that some Euronics retailers are selling them too. Not the major retailers like Currys, John Lewis, Argos etc. as yet though.

a few weeks ago. Darren (Newwave) posted the link for the Electrolux page on facebook.

I really like the look of these new machines although they do have the in drum filter.

Apparently this range is made in Poland. In fact there is no user accessible filter on these. Here is an instruction manual: www.electrolux-ui.com/2014%5C192%...

At least they are made in an Electrolux group factory rather than under licence.

Interesting. I was wondering about the filters, as the AEG and Electrolux protex chassis machines all have them accessible from the front. It seems odd not to have one that's easily accessible for maintenance.

I know a lot of the Electrolux group stuff is made in Poland - certainly the Ikea branded integrated washing machines and dishwashers are made there, and AEGs dryers are made there too. Think the current John Lewis branded washers, dryers & dishwashers are as well.

Looks like it is quite a shallow depth machine, for the load size, if those measurements on the AO video are correct (though they are different to those in the manual).

Also "Lindo" in Italian means "clean"

But again, thanks but no Electrolux machines for me! ;)
