is exactly like the 608 but it is a 208. the 608 has an "ex-large" water level/load size and the 208 has a "large" water level/load size.
i know it's pretty hard to tell model number from model number, but i am learning little by little. and i guess it helps alot, cuz i had/have both a 208 & a 608 :o) although, i wonder what kind of "draining" issues this 208 could have??? |

Instead of replacing the door knob, they install THAT? |

hey ben!!
i did notice the GREAT condition that the buttons are in. and did you see how slick & smooth the chrome trimming looks!!!??? and it doesn't look like the "sunglow" painted lower panel has any wear to it either. this 208 could actually look like my 608's twin!!! this white 208 looks to be in really great condition. but who knows what the unseen is like??? if somebody is interested in this, they should ask the seller to pull the lint filter out and take a picture of it. being that it looks like it was well taken care of, i wonder if the seller or previous owner knew that there was a lint filter in the agitator? and a picture of the front panel would also help see if this washer seems to be in as great a condition as it looks. if someone here gets it, i would love to find out about this washer, if it is a simple "draining problem" fix and what condition the washer was inside the cabinet. and $25, who can beat that price!!! yes, there is obviously going to be some expense in getting the "drain problem" fixed. but if it's a "do it yourself" job and there is just a sock or something stuck in one of the hoses or pumps, then that means you just paid $25 (+ gas) for a vintage maytag center-dial washer in pretty damned good condition. :o) |
