Do you have a link Paul? I must admit, they seem rather smart, a big change from the cheap junky image Beko are known for, but i agree about the black, it seems very faddy. Can't beat good old white! |

Completely disagree. Beko have been proving themselves, over the last few years, that they're certainly the best choice for the lower end of the market. I'd sooner own a high end Beko over a low or mid-range Hotpoint or Hoover.
We had a 1400rpm Excellence that belonged to my partner - we sold it when we moved in together. It was a fab machine. Washed well and one of the best rinsing machines I've ever used. |

The early Beko's with the mechanical timers were brilliant. They had metal paddles too. IMO, it was the first range of digital timer models and first condenser dryers that gave them the bad rep, but they've come on leaps and bounds since then.
With regards to Midea, they also make White Knight and Currys Essentials Dishwashers. Hotpoint outsourcing is nothing new - their dishwashers and vacuums were made by BSH group for years and the vacuums they're currently branding are also outsourced, but it's nice to see the Hotpoint name on other appliances. |

Anyone who has been on here for the past 5 or so years will know my thoughts on Beko.
Basically, I predicted that once they incorporated the technology and quality that was inherent in Blomberg, which they bought in 2002, they would become very good....even desirable machines.
.....and they are.
So much so that I bought one when our Westinghouse badged Zanussi died a couple of months ago.
I love the cycles....it is quiet and certainly cleans better. My only concern is that it is fussy when going into spin, with loads that the W/house would just spin, often being spun at a lower RPM. This has mainly been on flannel sheets rather than clothing or towels, so can certainly live with it...but I will be contacting Beko if it does it again this weekend. They can come and have a look whilst under warranty and possibly tweak the position of the OFB sensors. |
