Re: Norge Washer:

Hey! Launderess, I'm wanting to know why you (wonder if it was born in a theater?) I had a Matched Set I bought new in the early 1970's in Avocado Color, but I don't remember the Timer being on the Left Side of the Console, I'm sure mine was on the Right Side and the Dryer was on the Left. Mine had the Spin-Out Fabric Softener Dispenser on top of the Lint Filter Pan.

Re: OK GOTTACHA:

Tank-U Launderess, now I realize what you meant. I guess since I don't remember a lot of things going on with/in Movies, even if they are real interesting to me and keep my attention enough, I don't always relate some things to others.

my mother bought a citation from the western auto in 1975 that looked just like this washer. the only difference is the agitator was black on my mothers and the knob was on the right.

Hey, go easy on Pocatello, Idaho. It's where I was born, grew up, and met my partner of 31 years. It looks a lot like Brokeback Mountain there, only even more redneck and cowboy, being the home of the Dodge Finals Rodeo. (YEE-HAW!)I also bought the Monkey Wards version of a Norge washer there back in 1984. Had to have something butch enough to wash all them outdoor work duds. The loud clank that the solenoid-activated brake made, just reinforced the tough, ranch-duty image of the machine. (I learnt how to spit chewin' tobaccy by watchin' the burp-o-lator lint filer.)

Seriously, the washer was a very good machine. But, the matching, blow-the-hot-air, dryer totally blew.
