I was feeling a little Bob-Load-ish yesterday so I shot a couple of pics.  Problem is I didn't think about it before I started the machine.  Can I get 1/2 credit for pics of the clean load?  These are in my H4H tore up KDS-20 that I brought back from a fate worse than death it would seem.

Always enjoy viewing other peoples' dishwasher loads.  Great dishes, by the way; very cool.  I'll bet your hurricane-in-a-box didn't take 3:50 as my new GE did (in the Blue forum).

BobLoad certification must come from the great man, himself.  Bob are you around here somewhere?

Ralph, I know you well enough that dishware was quite soiled.  And with you using Soak 'n' Scrub, I know it was warranted!!!.  BobLoad certification for sure!!!!!!!!

My first Bob-Load photos ever!

I'm pretty sure this is my first Bob-Load participation. So here's to a bunch of dirty dog and cat dishes, etc in the portable Kitchenaid. Pots-n-Pans/Soak-n-Scrub cycle for sure!

Did Someone Say BobLoad Thread?

I've withheld myself until I could generate something *mildly* interesting to contribute here.

Last night's load washed on Delicates (I.e. Same as normal + 1 post-wash rinse). Fresh soils don't need anything more!

Photo 1: Daily dirties in the top drawer, ready to be washed on Delicates (50º wash for 26 minutes, 60º final rinse)

Photo 2: Some prep dishes to be washed in the bottom drawer, on Delicates-Eco (45º wash for 16 minutes, 50º final rinse).

Its fairly rare to run both drawers, but the bottoms had sat for a few nights, and I find some extra dishes, so have at it. It IS quite underloaded, yes.

All Finished

Next morning, both drawers are finished.

The top took 60 minutes washing/rinsing + 30 minutes air-drying time

The bottom took 50 minutes washing/rinsing + 30 minutes air-drying time

All clean!

How do you like your dishdrawers?  I keep hoping a nice set will turn up on Craigslist because I'd love to try them out.  I'm not sure I want them as a permanent solution but would like to try them out.  I'm afraid I would miss all the great sounds of my KitchenAids :)!!

I put my dog and cat dishes in as well.  Some people get freaked out about that and I'm not really sure why.

We love them. Have friends and family that love them too.

This is their third year in operation, too, and soon to be fourth. Based on the reviews, the machine should never have cleaned, would have stopped working, flooded broke and everything by now. It hasn't (*Knocks on wood*)

Aside from the Normal cycle not living up to expectations (Its supposed to wash for about 40minutes, but in reality its about 26), I have NO gripes with cleaning performance.

Some pretty nasty loads go through on a regular basis, and given enough good detergent, will clean perfectly well. Such loads clean nicely on the Delicate cycle, although I use the "Heavy" cycle (158F wash, 150F final rinse. Two intermediate rinses) to help prevent excessive buildup on the filters, and guarantee good performance!

As for size, its probably about half a dishwasher, although the loading is far more practical than the single racks found in normal machines (Especially the Miele's and Bosch's I've used!)

Beautiful dishwasher Ralph! These are so much fun, and so FAST! Wash Dry and your hair is still wet in rollers. Fast.
How did everything come out? Looks like a few things were blocking on the bottom.
I have one of this same model along side a KDS-18. The 18 is a little less forgiving on pattern loading. It truly depends on your water temp and the powder you are using. Hopefully you had awesome results from your beautiful dishwasher.
Sirleanre I have heard so many good results from dish drawer machines. It is nice to know that you like yours. From the videos that have been posted from youtuber's and our clubs Dadoes I am impressed at the performance, and the spray. You seem to get awesome results every time.
Brent

@A440

Thanks for the thoughts.

I almost jumped when I saw "sirleanre" in your reply. That's my "disposable" email address (It helps reduce spam if the address is posted on the web, and crawlers get on the site).

Hmmm

Today's offering.

This lot could have benefitted from either running a Rinse/Hold or 80 minute Heavy-Eco (Wash - Rinse - Rinse - Rinse) cycle... Bit of redeposition on a couple of the bowls, unfortunately. Even bumping the Rinse-Aid setting would help.

But mostly still clean on that 60 minute Delicate cycle.

Not really BobLoad...

But a test.

Marinated Chicken Wings.

Then baked at 425 degrees.

Now in the Soak and Scrub Cycle in the KDS-20.

Untreated. 3 soap cups filled with Cascade Complete Powder.

I bet they come out spotless.

Results later or tomorrow morning with the first coffee.

Before Nate's reply which I will be laughing with coffee through the nose.

How did they come out?

Toploader, did you take after pictures of that load?  I have a glass cover that I put over meat on the grill to contain the splatter and smoke.  By the end of cooking a small steak, the grease really gets burned on and my 20 with the Soak and Scrub always gets it spotless.  My KDS-15 almost got it clean but left just a tiny bit of residue.

While not a Bobload, it was the machine I ran tonight :-). You can see a couple of plates and bowls that got pushed out of the lower tines, but they're clean.

I don't think it's a good machine for Bobloads, terribly fussy to load!

Forgot to take pics, but the Pyrex came out almost clean except for a couple of really baked on burnt spots.

I really like Bubble Bandit better than Cascade with Dawn. I am going to try the same test soon as those wings really came out good.

I have noticed in the KitchenAid Regency (One arm wonder) the "rhythm" of the Wash Arm turning is much more audible and faster with Bubble Bandit than Cascade which leads me to say there is more foaming with Cascade than Bandit.

Which then proves that the foam slows down the force of the water which lessens the scrubbing action of the water force.

And if I can hear this in the Regency, I can say the KDS 20 would clean better on the Soak and Scrub with Bandit. And I do notice for me and the water conditions here on the Cape, Bandit cleans as good as Chlorinated Hytron.
