Great! I have a washer that matches your dryer! I also have the same dryer in white but I'll need to fix a few things on it and repaint it avocado! I have no pics of the dryer, the white one pictured beside it is another one that works and it just found it's matching washer!
I included two scans of my owner's manual and a nice illustration that Ken made (which I did modify just a bit!). This post was last edited 07/18/2014 at 17:03 |

So common on these machines. Will need new bearings which is a tough job but not impossible. I did replace them in my '76 1-18 a while back and the spin is very quiet now. Problem is I ate up the threads on the shaft and can't get the nut back on far enough to have an operational tub break. The leak could likely be the tub seal which sits, guess where...right above the roaring, rusty bearings. The seals are still out there but harder to find and they have to be chip and crack free or they will leak even if never used before. I learned that the hard way when I bought a new one that had a hairline crack in it.
Hope this gives you a little help. I also have a scanned copy of a 1-18 repair manual that can help if you think you'll be repairing your machine. Jon |

I am guessing the repair manual is on the "Manuals" area of the site.
Also, where does one look for that bearing & the seal? I saw a couple of bellows on Craigs List. Was going to check the parts list to see if they were for the 1-18.
