bought this lovely Maytag gas dryer this afternoon! Went to an auction, on a whim, and there it was, sitting in a basement next to a Whirlpool DD washer.
BTW, I've looked hi, and lo for a model number, and have been unable to locate. |

If I was going to guess I'd say it's a DE700. For $15.00 that's great find. It looks like it should clean up nicely.
Update as of 7:45pm Somehow I managed to overlook the fact that this is a gas dryer. That being the case it's possibly a 741c, since that models gas burner access door is low profile and wouldn't show up in that first photo. This post was last edited 07/19/2014 at 21:46 |

Good buy Kenny, the model # tag should be inside the gas burner access door on the steel frame to the right of the burner assembly.
I have the same dryer in pink that I was in the process of converting to electric ignition and rebuilding. These are interesting dryers and since I worked for Maytag when there were still lots of these dryers around I know them inside out and while they make an interesting collectable I would not want to use one on a regular basis. I do have some parts and lots of knowledge if anyone wants help restoring it. John L. |

Since that has the "gold dots" on the glass panels instead of the stripes, wouldn't that be a DG700/701 instead of a 641? |
