I changed the motor on my A206 this afternoon. The original motor has an internal start switch. The spare has an external start switch. I connected the wires per the color coding on the start switch, best as I can determine, and the darn thing won't run, trips the circuit breaker. Does that mean the spare motor may be bad? Or am I not seeing the color codes correctly? Clockwise from left: Orange, Black, White, Brown, Red, Yellow. |

Original motor does not trip breaker. Low speed won't start on the original motor. Doesn't do anything, not even hum. It does run on low speed *if* high speed gets going first -- get it going on high speed, then quickly switch to the Gentle Action button. High speed on the original motor works fine. The speed switch is OK, I reversed the wires with the original motor, the low-speed problem moves along. Mayken4now/Steve brought the spare motor last December when we had the mini wash-in. |
