I remember seeing those Hotpoints with the ice bin in the door on display at Swallen's. I tried to talk my parent into getting one when we replaced the '62 Frigidaire, but it wouldn't fit the space.

Tom, does the door slide from left to right and then one can access the ice? I'm trying to understand how it works. Thanks.

In the one a friend had, that was a tilt-out bin, if I remember correctly, but that was 40 years ago.

The bin tilts out, hopper style.

I thought those ovens were Hotpoints with the typical 70s overapplication of woodgrain, but both are self-cleaners.

The ad says the ovens are Hotpoint. They are late enough that they were build at the GE factory in Louisville, and are exactly the same as the GE's other than styling differences on the control panel.
