Here ya go folks.

Sorry for the delay with the video. I was having problems with the programme that downloads images/videos from cam to comp.

Anyway the video is a delicate cycle. high water level wash, then rinse fill & the rinse spin.

Enjoy!

Thanks Darren

Very obviously a Hoover type motor in that one - and also I thought that the rinse->spin distribute was very vintage Hoover-esque :-)

Enjoyed the video. Kinda left me wanting more - this must be a machine you look forwards to using. Love the digital program display, I much prefered all the old washing codes and don't know why they had to go. Putting my Zanussi on for `Cottons / 40 degrees / quick wash / max spin' doesn't work for as well for me as selecting a number and `GO'!

BTW what else was running alongside the Quartz? Sounded a little rustic - wasn't the newwave doing it's mid-wash spins by any chance?

Love the machine! Looks and sounds in great condition.

Cheers

Nick

Hey Nick!
Very observent you are! its spin distribution is very much the same as my Hoover Logic & Newwave. Yea my newwave is running nicely in the background of that video. i suddenly realised as i put the quartz on my workshirt needed washing for tommorrow & that i didnt have a load...so the old faithful 30min quickwash was put to use!

my quartz is a great machine to use! only drawback is my machines are outdoors in a cold garage atm & i have to keep the door open for drainage access!

yea all older ones are much better in my opinion, although i went into currys today & saw the new Electrolux insight. i think its very nice. but i'd imagine its boring as it only uses 60litres. my newwave is the most economical machine i own aside from my Aeg in the house. lol. I insist on great rinsing...therefore i need water guzzling machines:D

& how is the newly aqquired hotpoint? Hope you can get some videos up when you have it running.

Darren

Nice one Darren

Plenty of slosh in that machine...most of the Servis Hotpoint & Hoover machines had similar programme actions in the up to the 80`s, I

Interesting what you said Nick about the sound, I always thought that Servis Hoover & certainly Hotpoint while having similar motors make distictive sounds when spinning...perhaps its the vibrations within the different cabinets etc...

Hi there. Nice video. It would of course be nice if it was longer and had more "spin" in it. And a have a few questions too.

1 Is Your Hoover Logic working now? If you record the sound and upload it maybe i can tell whats wrong.

2 You say you have the machines in the garage, but why not in a special room in your house?. That wpuld be the best place to have washers. In the garage it usually not are dry and if unlycky things may short out.

I heard the newwave there in the background. Quite nice hearing 2 machines at work. You should hear the cacaphony i have at my home sometimes. When all my washers and my 2 dryers are working.

The quitest machines i have is my toploaded dryer from 1975 and my Miele machine from 1989 (have new bearings by the way). The Noisiest must be the Constructa machine or the Hoover Keymatic.

hi Fredrik,
my logic works but has faults. its still usable. i havent repaired it yet.

my machines are in the garage because i live with my parents & i dont recall my father bein keen on a dedicated washer room when he built our house! but when i move out in the very near future they'll b in the house.

how are your machines? would like to see the keymatic in action if you had any pictures.
