Electronic Stack Unit

These are very cool looking machines. Does anyone know if they are genuine two speed, or are they Fabric-Matic?

1988 ???

I was Chef on a Private yacht in 1988.

We had this unit on board. Those machines ran 20 hours a day, 7 days a week. I was on board for 8 months and they never broke down. We also had a full time engineer on board that could fix anything. I'm pretty sure they were 2 speed.

The galley had the GE 2800 (?) Potscrubber with the digital readout and touch pads.

A very "Futuristic" Time back in 1988. LOL

My sister had this exact same one. Always ran perfect. Hers was a Fabric-Matic, not 2 speed.

one speed, standard capacity.....tub light!.....very sturdy machine......I got two of them for 50.00 each....

nice part is they disassemble for moving/installing, but can be a pain to align the washer and base at the same level....

A chef on a private yacht! How many people can say that? I hope you include a chapter when you write your memoirs :-)

Has been for sale in Tucson for at least 4 months. $40. I remember the ads when I was in High School. Very cool machines at the time. Hard to believe these things are 30 years old already...

Of course, youtube has this ad on file for you to have a bit of a flashback!
