There is a Kelvinator in the museum which washes dishes without big fins moving in an eccentric orbit. It is before the days of WCI so it, too, is a D&M.

I don't seem to remember SQ kitchen appliances so your find is rare. At least Kelvinator had ranges and refrigerators so the DW was a logical addition to the product line while the SQ DW would always be an orphan in the kitchen.

Cool Find....

Maybe they wanted to compete with Maytag?  There where many years after the "Dutch Oven Range" with only Maytag dishwashers and disposers in the kitchen.

SQ had a full line in Canada---not so much here in the US.

Nice to see in reality - I think I have a service/parts book for SQ dishwashers.  I would imagine they offered a full-line of products to give their dealers an edge, especially smaller dealers.  IIRC there is a cook-n-clean range (upper oven, cooktop and dishwasher below) badged Speed Queen in my doctrine as well.

I'm sure it's in Caloric's clothing... (w/ D&M innards)

Nice find!

I have never seen a SQ dishwasher! Here are a few other non-laundry SQ appliances.

I'm still searching for a 1960's SQ washer that would match my dryer and even those are hard to find now!

The microwave could have qualified as befitting the Speed Queen moniker, but I'd think the oven, range, and cooktops would be Hot Queen.  Food storage Frosty Queen.

This is very cool!
I remember seeing the "All in one units" in several apartments in Chattanooga, TN.
Oven on top followed by stove top and dishwasher on the bottom. (where another oven should be)
I think the other badges for this type of set up was Modern Maid.
Why won't Speed Queen make their own USA Dishwasher that used tons of water and has short cycles?!

As long as the range was electric, it could be called a Speed Queen.

When McGraw Edison sold. Speed Queen and Modern Maid to To Raytheon, they put out a few new products so SQ would have a bit more products possibly increasing sales and getting more recognition for both lines. I saw some of their, popular range/dishwashers,wall ovens and refrigerators SQ tagged but already knew they were Amana and Modern Maid, not SQ.
