I agree that the price on that machine is too high. It definitely needs a bit of "spit and polish" so to speak. And by the looks of things that machine needs a new agitator. The one that's in there looks like the base is broken between the two fins that are pointed towards the back of the machine.

It's possible that the lighting and resultant shadows are making things look a bit off.
