I got a free dishwasher today and was wondering what is the best way to modify this dishwasher?

This dishwasher everybody has seen and used if you have lived in a apartment.

It works great as it is this old machine out-washes machines that cost thousands but I want more power.

The motor says 5 Amps it's the black motor with the fan.I have 5 different G.E. motors that are very sim but

they only draw 1.1 Amp.

Is the old motors more powerful or less efficient?

I also have three types of bottom wash arms and don't know which is best.

I have the Orbital wash arm with the gear under it and

I also have the one that has a main wash arm and at each end is a small orbit spinner on them.

I would appreciate any ideas...

The multi-orbit wash-arm may work a little better than the standard one piece arm if it is in good condition. I was always disappointed with the later arm with the spinners at each end, but you should experiment and see how it does.

The lower amp motors do run a little faster under load so they should have a little more water force since they use the same basic pump housing and the same main impeller.

We will await your test results, sounds like a fun project.
