I think these are stunning! What cycle are you using there? Delicate? Only 600rpm?

Have you any photos of it in action close up?

Thanks

Darren

LG 14U1TBS

Hi Darren

Up to now only done 1 load. The load was delicates, jumpers and delicate items. There are a lot of features on the machine, medic rinse, extra rinse, turbo wash.

They are on offer in currys so decided to buy one.

The machine very quiet, although it was only on 600spin.

Will keep you posted as will be washing on Saturday so hope to film it in action.

cheers

Paul

Rather different looking from the range LG sells in the US. I love my LG washer and dryer--best wishes on yours!

Paul I'm super jealous!

I'm moving in a couple of weeks and this model was going to be my choice.
Would love to hear your thoughts, and see some vids on Saturday

I have been really intrigued by these new models since they were released. I have an LG F1479FDS5 9kg Steam washing machine. It is very flexible as you can select up to 5 rinses on cottons and 6 on allergy care. Do these new models allow this?

One thing I don't quite like about the new models is that when you select turbo wash it does a wash, spray rinse and only 1 proper rinse. Another thing being on my model you can select up to max spin on the quick wash where as the new machines seem to be limited to 800, correct me if I'm wrong.

It definitely looks amazing and like you said LG's are really quiet machines. Look forward to hearing more about it and your review of it. Thank you for the pictures :)

LG 14U1TBS

Hi Guys and thanks for comments.

I was after a Speen Queen top loading washer, model LWS17. It a commercial made machine and looks very sturdy. The only thing that put me off was the large amounts of hot water needed to complete a wash. I was also worried about the temperature of the hot water after the machine had filled as they do not have an internal heater.

I also looked at the LG F1255FD which can be found on the 365 electrical website. It has a massive 15kg wash load.

Then my partner and I had a look in Currys at the weekend and we both liked the Samsung WH90H7410EW priced at £749.00. As we were looking a nice LG rep came across and started talking to us about LG machine. She showed us the LG14U1TBS and explained all the features on the machine. So we decided to go for the LG which was priced at £549.99 instead of £799.00.

The machine in question looks complicated to use but its really quite simple. You have Cotton, Cotton Large, Mix, Easy Care, Duvet, Allergy Care, Steam Refresh, Gentle Care, Stain Care, Sports Wear, Dark Wash, Silent Wash, Speed 14, & Download Cycle. You can alter the wash to normal wash, turbo wash, intensive wash. As for the rinses you can add an extra rinse or use the medic rinse, which heats the water up to 40c. The temperature range is from cold, 20, 30, 40, 60 & 95.

The steam function can be used during the wash or at the end of the cycle, or both together. Also on the turbo wash cycle it lets you add an extra rinse and can complete a cycle quite fast.

I will let you know how it performs on the next few days.

Cheers

Paul

That's a very nice machine. Looks like you got it for a bargain too.

I had a quick browse through the manual. I like what I saw. The Allergy cycle would be interesting, I hope you can tell us a bit more about it. Looking forward to your experience with this machine.

Turbo Wash

Hi Guys.

The machine is just over 1 week old and very pleased with it.

Today I tried the Turbo Wash feature. I washed on the cotton cycle using turbo wash and 1 extra rinse. The programme duration came up with 59mins. Once the machine had emptied the wash water and went into spin it sprayed the clothes with jets of water as it was spinning. It went on to the first rinse which was very deep, again as it went into spin after first rinse it also sprayed with jets of water, and again after the second rinse.

I am quite impressed with the turbo wash feature as you can wash 8kg of washing in 59 mins. It has very deep rinses and no traces of soap could be seen in the water.

Got a few more loads to do now.

Paul

Hi guys.

Did a load of whites on cottons 60c. The time duration came up as 1hour 15 mins. I know the cotton large load takes over 2 hours.

Looks wicked! :)

Is the Turbo wash always 59 minutes?... or does it depend on program, temperature, load size etc?

Well done videos - despite that studid tinted plastic lens. Does the rinse jet cover he entire depth of the drum? I wonder why LG did away with the two recirc jets. Could we see a video of the control panel? :)

Didn't want to resurrect an old thread but seemed pointless to start a new one...

This bad boy arrived today! Having a new kitchen put in and the machine arrived a little early so won't have it up and running for another couple of weeks. But will post some vids to my Youtube channel when I do.

I'll let you all know what I think once I've had it a while :)

Adam
