Mid 90's, we bought a washer (ours was a low end, single speed) in 1994, and to this day it was the best washer we have ever owned. The only repair in the 13 years we owned it was a belt at about 11 years. I say go for it. |

Thanks, Dustin. Can you remember much about them like capacity, stainless tub? solid tub? long spray rinse? neutral drain or spin drain? |

Barry, one way to tell the older solid tub machines from the newer perforated tubs, is by the lid.
The solid tub machines have a side hinged lid, the newer perf-tub machines are rear hinged like a Maytag.
Another way to tell in this case, is by the color. I believe almond appeared in '79-'80 and I also believe the last solid tub SQ washers were built in either 1977 or perhaps 1978.
