That should be put in a museum with a sign on it saying, "This is what a new Kenmore dryer looked like when they used to make them right!" Actually that does look like a late 70's model when they first went to the black panel on the console. It's a beautiful machine. |

Where do these things come from, flying saucers who mistook it for exotic energy source? :-)

Beautiful. I would take it in a heartbeat. I am surprised there is no drum light. |

We had the same one in that Golden Wheat, and it was a good dryer. I remember the sunshine on the owners manual. |

Don't use that Bounce. Throw it out. If you want to keep your dryer like new. |

Congrats Rob, you will enjoy that dryer. As I mentioned above, my Mom got hers like this in late December 1982. We installed it with a washer in January 1983. It has been going ever since. It now dries just for her but there were a number of years that it dried for four of us, then twenty years or more for Mom and my Dad.
I put an idler, belt and rollers in it maybe ten years ago, but it runs largely like new. I bought the same thing new in 1986 except with no signal adjustment. I never realized how functionally great these dryers are until I found this site, but then I quickly realized that we've had few if any complaints out of our machines all these years...just properly dried clothes with no issues. I hope you can say the same with yours after while. Gordon |
