Ok guys and gals I'm new here. I'm wondering if there is any way to convert my Lg washer model# WT5070CV. From a crappy impeller to an agitator. I'm very handy so the conversion won't be the problem, just wondering if anyone knows if there any compatible parts out on the market to make this happen. I really don't want to spend another grand on another washer with one already in it. I have added a link to my washer from lg. Hopefully there is someone out there that can help me. Thank u guys in advance any comments welcome.

First off- WELCOME TO AW

Second- I hate to be the bearer of bad news but to my knowledge there isn't any solution to what you are trying to do- switch an impeller out for an agitator in the same machine.

Considering the number of members that are on this site and that they are from all over the globe, if any of them have been able to do what you mentioned I'm sure it would have been posted on here. So far, I haven't seen anyone mention that they have succeeded in doing this or attempted it. The difference in the drive mechanisms is probably the reason why.

I have seen people switch out different agitators for other agitators but not go from an impeller to an agitator. Sorry! :(

But please, by any means, do not let this be a deterent for anything else you may want to find out about appliances. The members on this site are an extrodinairy source for information and their knowledge and experience with appliances is invaluable. Plus, they are a friendly group that welcome new members with open arms.

It don't think your laundry would be happy 'bout that conversion.
First, waterlevels are to low for an agitator to work.
Second, the arc and speed of agitation is anything but usefull with an agitator. It would probably tangle, twist and rip laundry.
Third, I doubt motor, mode-shifter and other drive components are abled to handle the stress the agitator adds.
That being sad, if you find the rollover bad because you don't see it: There is a slow and steddy turnover. Laundry is longer close to the impeller, so the exposuretime to the wash activity is longer, followed by a low agitation soak while the laundry is on top of the load, away from the impelle. Simple way to prove this: wash a white load, add a dark sock or towel, and than run the cycle. You'll see the sock disapear, be out of vision, and reappear.
If the washresult is not good, try a heavy duty or sanitary cycle. They use more water and/or heat the water. This usually improves the result. Adding options/ setting a high soil level nicht help as well.

first of all....welcome....

you have there a Waveforce version....and I am puzzled as to the issues you are having....these are relatively one of the better machines out there for an impellor design, of the ones I seen, they add plenty of water compared to some low-level machines, there are intermittent spins to saturate the load, and may have a sprinkler to boot...

I have a Cabrio belt drive....and would gladly trade yours for mine, anyday!
